We are revving up for the 7th annual Lakeland Hospice Motorcycle Run so mark your calendars down for September 6th, 2008. The run will begin at noon at the Umotors parking lot in Fergus Falls. Food, beverages and t-shirts will be available. We are planning a great day with a ride through beautiful lakes country.
Each stop or "way point" will feature a place to rest, have a bite to eat and have a beverage.
The run will end at the Z103 Bar & Grill in Fergus Falls where you can kick back and enjoy supper and beverages. Supper will be a free will donation. After supper we will give away wonderful door prizes generously donated by area businesses. Everyone who registers for the motorcycle run is entered in the drawing! At 7:00 we will raffle off the 2008 black Heritage Harley! Don't forget to buy a raffle ticket! Only 2,500 tickets will be sold! The raffle also includes 2-$500 cash prizes and 10-$100 prizes! From 9:00 -1:00 a.m. you can stay and party to the band "Betty Does"!
There will be special "Lakeland Hospice Motorcycle Run" hotel rates at the Best Western for anyone interested in staying overnight. Make sure you mention you are a part of the run. There will also be camping available in the parking lot for campers and green space for tents. Camping and hotel space are available by calling the Best Western at 218-739-2211 or 1-800-293-2216.
Money raised from the run will be used for the tender care of Hospice patients. We believe that Hospice isn't about dying. It's about living life to its fullest. It's about receiving comfort and care while surrounding yourself and your loved ones with medical, emotional, and spiritual support. Joining us in the run will not only be fun, it will also help support Hospice patients in their end-of-life journey.
